Tudor Banquet
At Welford, we try and create a Business Enterprise around our topic. As our topic was the Tudors for this term, we thought we would have a Tudor Banquet.
The children got very involved in dressing up as Tudors and some of them had some fantastic costumes. It was lovely to share lunch time with them while they were so excited and in character.
Throughout the previous two weeks, we had been busy making things that we could sell to people at home. These included: embroidery Tudor Roses, 'stained glass windows', Tudor Rose biscuits and self portraits in the style of a Tudor Royal as well as holding a raffle for a cake.
The afternoon was a huge success with Year 5 raising over £250 for charity. A massive thank you to all who attended and bought our work as well as a huge thank you to Mrs Devi for her dedication and help with all of the work.
