African Drumming

As part of Black History Month, the whole school had sessions where they took part in either African Drumming or African dancing and storytelling. Year 5 were lucky enough to have a go at the drumming.

Individually, the children are very talented when it comes to their musical ability. However, when drumming as a whole class, we seemed to struggle. It certainly took us a few attempts before we found our rhythm. Although once we had, we produced some really good music.

This was a fantastic session which the children really seemed to enjoy and take a lot from. It really seemed to resonate with a lot of children and I am proud of how they performed.
