Cathedral Visit
Last week, Year 5 went on a trip to St Phillip's cathedral in the centre of Birmingham. Every year group goes on a visit to a different religious place of worship so it was our turn to visit the Cathedral.
It is a beautiful building with some amazing stain glass windows and very interesting history behind it.
Once again, our Year 5 children were wonderfully behaved and represented our school perfectly while asking a lot of very insightful questions and answering questions whenever they could.
We learnt about the origins of the church/ cathedral, the baptismal font and how it is unusual as it is moveable, the story behind the stain glass windows, the vestments that the priests wear during the different seasons as well as looking at the season of advent.
Have a look at some of the pictures we took from the day.
